Empty Space

The circle defines the space and creates an image of the stage. It’s an invitation to initiate the action. Body and mind are present in the space like a container full of deep-rooted habits and natural memory, ready to start the relationship. Improvisation is a process of remembering and recalling actions oriented towards the past. At the same time, it is a deep need to reflect and carefully observe what is already present.

I create an intimate space where the dancing body is open to the spectators, where there is no different from practising in the studio and on the stage. We meet in the middle of the action.

O círculo define o espaço e cria uma imagem do palco. É um convite para iniciar a ação. Corpo e mente estão presentes no espaço como um depósito cheio de hábitos enraizados e memórias naturais, prontos para iniciar uma relação. A improvisação é um processo de memória e lembrança de ações orientadas para o passado. Ao mesmo tempo, é uma profunda necessidade de refletir e observar atentamente o que já está presente.

Crio um espaço intimista onde o corpo que dança está aberto aos espectadores, onde não há diferença entre praticar no estúdio ou no palco. Encontramo-nos no meio da ação.
